One of the most popular features in the Guitar Pro 7 is that you can open effects. You can convert the written guitar tabs to distortion, acoustic guitar or classical guitar sounds, and to state that it is a really good feature in terms of being able to see and hear what kind of sound on which guitar. Thanks to the RSE, a real sound engine feature, you can convert the tabs written on Guitar Pro into the guitar sounds you want. But if you mostly use Guitar Pro to play along or learn songs, RSE and the built-in effects are worth a look. To me, Guitar Pro is mainly a tab authoring tool, so RSE didn’t matter. I never used RSE (Realistic Sound Engine) in GP6 because I felt it was a distraction compared to MIDI. MIDI was good and allowed me to write my music and get a rough idea of how it would sound before recording actual instruments. I personally did not care about the sound quality when using Guitar Pro. It allows you to save your file in different formats. Also, if you want, it can open the old version by saving it as a different file. This problem was resolved in version 7, and now it can open both the old traditional format and the new gpx format by recognizing it. However, in Guitar Pro 6 we only saw its own format and we could not use our old files. A lower version Guitar Pro-file should be able to be opened by higher versions normally. gpx, instead of the traditional gp format, and everyone was complaining about this. When Guitar Pro version 6 came out, it introduced a new file format. If you have a subscription to MySongBook, you can access all old and new Guitar Pro files available on the site. In this way, you do not need to browse your computer to search for your individual files. If you have a folder where your Guitar Pro files are located, simply mark that folder on your computer. Listening to the feedback from the users, Arobas Music company adds 8,9 and 10 string guitars to its list with the latest update, allowing you to create tabs on guitars with many different string numbers. With the Guitar Pro 7.5 version, you can tune your guitar and guitar tabs the way you want, thanks to the tuning feature that has received the last update you see in the picture above.īefore the Guitar Pro 7.5 version, there were 6,7 and 8 string guitars in the list of string instruments. While these menus are messy in GP5 and GP6 versions, in Guitar Pro 7 version this is really neat and I’m sure it will work for you. Having these three buttons always available makes it really quick and easy to access the right tools when needed. It’s such a simple feature, but it makes it easy to customize your screen depending on what you’re doing.
